A Daytime win and an Evening win on the same North Carolina Pick 4 play type pay identical fixed amounts. The 50/50 exact-order prize adds the $0.50 Exact prize of $2,500 to the $0.50 Any Order prize of the number's set. A Front or Back Pair pays $50 on $1, at odds of 1 in 100.
North Carolina Pick 4 plays cost $0.50 or $1, and the 50/50 play costs $1 only. A Combo costs the stake times the number of orders the digits make – 4, 6, 12 or 24 – so a $1 Combo on 1-2-3-4 costs $24. The Pick 4 payout calculator works out the cost and prize for any stake.
A $5,000 Exact prize at odds of 1 in 10,000 returns half the stake over the long run. When total prize liability on one Pick 4 number reaches the lottery's limit, the North Carolina Education Lottery can stop selling that number for the drawing.
Fireball Prizes on North Carolina Pick 4
Carolina Pick 4 has offered Fireball since September 18, 2022; adding it doubles the cost of the play (+$0.50 or +$1). The Fireball digit replaces one of the four drawn digits to form extra combinations, and each Fireball win is paid on top of any base-game prize.
On an Exact play of four identical digits, such as 5-5-5-5, Fireball wins total up to $5,400 on a $1 play ($2,700 on $0.50), at odds of 1 in 100,000. With three identical digits, the top Fireball total on an Exact play is $4,050 on $1 ($2,025 on $0.50).
