A $1 Straight play on New York Numbers pays $500 when all three digits match in the exact order drawn, and the odds of a Numbers Straight win are 1 in 1,000. Box pays $160 (3-way) or $80 (6-way).
These amounts follow the prize table the New York Lottery publishes for Numbers. Tickets cost $0.50 or $1 per play, and a $0.50 play pays half the $1 prize.

Box is New York's any-order play: an any-order win pays $80 on a $1 6-way Box and $160 on a $1 3-way Box. A triple such as 7-7-7 has only one order, so it is played Straight only. A Front Pair or Back Pair wins with two numbers, the first two or the last two digits in exact order. The cost and prize of a Combination or Straight/Box ticket for any number can be worked out with the Pick 3 payout calculator.
Instant Win on New York Numbers
New York Numbers has no Fireball-style extra digit, so every result is three numbers only. The add-on for the game is Instant Win: for $1 more, the ticket prints its own random numbers with prizes from $1 (1 in 10) to $500 (1 in 30,000). Instant Win prizes are not drawn, so they never appear in these results.
