The Daytime and Evening draws pay the same fixed prizes, so an Evening win and a Daytime win on the same play type pay the same amount. A 50/50 prize is the sum of the $0.50 Exact prize and the $0.50 Any Order prize: $250 + $80 = $330 for a 3-way number and $250 + $40 = $290 for a 6-way number.
North Carolina Pick 3 plays cost $0.50 or $1 each. The 50/50 play is sold at $1 only, and a Combo costs $1.50 to $6.00 depending on the number of orders and the wager. A triple such as 7-7-7 has only one order, so it is played Exact.
A $500 Exact prize at odds of 1 in 1,000 returns 50 cents per $1 Exact play over the long run.
Fireball Prizes on North Carolina Pick 3
Fireball doubles the cost of a North Carolina Pick 3 play (+$0.50 or +$1), and the Fireball digit stands in for any one of the three drawn digits, creating extra winning combinations that pay separately from the base prize. The NC Education Lottery added Fireball to Carolina Pick 3 on September 18, 2022.

One ticket can win more than once with Fireball – up to $540 on a $1 Exact play of a triple such as 7-7-7 ($270 on $0.50). Fireball wins are paid in addition to any base win on the same ticket. The Fireball digit printed on each card above is the one used for that draw.
Why Some North Carolina Pick 3 Numbers Stop Selling
The Carolina Pick 3 game rules let the North Carolina Education Lottery stop accepting wagers on a number for a drawing once the total prize liability on that number reaches its limit. A heavily played Pick 3 number is therefore sometimes unavailable before sales close.
